A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I KNOW ELORA. AND I KNOW WEDDINGS.
Elora has been home to me for a very long time. For more than twenty years, I’ve photographed weddings here and around the world, working with more than 400 couples along the way. That experience has taught me something important: the best wedding photographs don’t come from constantly asking you to pose. They come from being present. From knowing when to step in, when to step back, and when to simply let something beautiful unfold. My goal is for you to have an incredible wedding day first — and beautiful photographs that allow you to relive it afterwards.

There is something about getting married in Elora. The Grand River gorge. The limestone cliffs. The historic streets. The changing light. The quiet moments beside the river. And then there is Elora Mill — where the character of the town meets a level of modern luxury that is unlike anywhere else in the region. Having photographed weddings here for many years, I know how to use this place naturally rather than simply photographing what is in front of me. The result is a wedding gallery that feels connected to Elora — not interchangeable with any other venue.

The Elora Mill holds a special place in my heart. I’ve photographed countless weddings here and have developed a deep understanding of its spaces, its light and the rhythm of a wedding day within the property. From the first look to the ceremony, from portraits overlooking the gorge to the energy of the reception, I know how to move through the day without making photography feel like the centre of it. The venue gives us an extraordinary canvas. My job is to make the photographs feel just as extraordinary.

I’ll help you think through the photography side of the day — locations, timing, portraits, light and the little opportunities that can make a big difference.
STEP 03 · YOUR WEDDING DAY
You should be enjoying your wedding, not performing for a camera. I’ll guide you when guidance is useful and disappear into the background when it isn’t.
STEP 04 · THE BEAUTIFUL IN-BETWEEN
Some of my favourite photographs happen between the obvious moments — a glance, a laugh, a hand on a shoulder, someone getting emotional just before the ceremony. Those are the moments I’m always looking for.

Your photographs should feel beautiful now and still feel beautiful decades from now. A collection of photographs that brings back not only what the day looked like, but what it felt like.

My approach sits somewhere between editorial portraiture and documentary photography. I love beautiful light, considered composition, fashion and the occasional photograph that feels almost cinematic. But I never want the photographs to feel manufactured. The most meaningful images are often the ones that happen naturally. So I’ll give you direction when it helps create something beautiful — and I’ll give you space when the moment is better left alone.
